Windcarver (Boomerang)

These ancient Vorenthan weapons, seldom deployed in the current age due to the difficulty of crafting them and the skill required to use them, are both versatile and deadly.

The typical windcarver, commonly referred to as a 'boomerang' throughout the North Broadlands , consists of a piece of flat, curved wood, honed and balanced so it can be accurately thrown at great distance.

Traditionally, the outside edge of a windcarver was fitted with a thin metal blade that made being struck by the weapon a dangerous and often fatal encounter.

Though mostly utilized for its ranged attack abilities, windcarvers are versatile and can be wielded by a skilled combatant as a melee weapon.
