Sometimes referred to as 'goblinbreath' or 'goblingreen', the liquid mixture
more commonly known as 'snaketongue' contains powerful sleep-inducing agents
that will often serve to incapacitate creatures as large as ogres.
Certain mixtures of sleeptongue, when exposed to air for several seconds,
will rapidly convert into a thick cloud of greenish gas. Anyone (or anything)
that happens to inhale sufficient quantity of the potent vapour is likely
to lapse into a deep sleep.
The sleep induced by consumption or exposure to snaketongue is deep and can
last up to an hour. Large creatures, such as ogres or trolls, will normally wake
from a snaketongue-induced slumber within just a few minutes.
