These horrifying undead are the restless spirits of the
very wicked.
Witherers typically inhabit rotting corpses, but the fiendish creatures
have been known, in rare instances, to take over living hosts.
The touch of a witherer can drain the strength of an opponent. This siphoned
energy is then employed by the spirit to heal its own wounds.
Witherers are just as likely to be encountered in amongst a large group of
undead as they are roaming about on their own.
