or a roving band of these fierce giant ants!
Named 'skirmisher' due to their ferocity and unnerving propensity
to attack and devour any living thing they encounter, these ants
are best avoided at all cost.
More often than not, when skirmisher ants are encountered, it's a
roving band of 'warrior' ants seeking out a safe location to which
they can relocate an existing nest.
Typically, skirmisher ants are about as large as a medium-sized
dog. The skirmisher ant queen (though they are rarely encountered)
is said to be roughly the size of a bear.
