The River Guild is the name of a powerful and influential federation
of merchants and traders that oversees (and profits from) nearly all
of the commerce that passes through Mirgspil, along the
River Trynd .
Over the last century, the guild has grown at a startling rate, expanding
beyond the boundaries of Mirgspil to other important ports along the
great river .
The River Guild now maintains a presence in each of the following cities
along the River Trynd:
Mirgspil , Trithik ,
Tryndmoor , and Graldok .
In each of those four cities, the guild operates
grand emporiums in which a wide range of
items (weapons and armour) can be bought and sold.
Adventurers seeking to browse the items for sale in the emporiums will first
need to purchase a River Guild Medallion at
the River Guild Office in Mirgspil.
The River Guild wields an extraordinary amount of political power in
Mirgspil, though it has yet to achieve a similar level of might elsewhere.
The guild is governed by a guildmaster who is elected by a council of six.
