of a previous age, it is now thought that the powerful and mysterious
entities written about in countless tales and legends as mistwraiths, still
stalk the gloomy depths of Fogbough Forest .
The origin and nature of the mistwraiths have never been established,
though some believe that these horrific undead beings are tortured souls
yet lingering in the world of the living.
Other accounts suggest that mistwraiths, having no true form of their own,
take over the minds and bodies of their chosen victims, unnaturally prolonging
the life of their host while slowly consuming them.
Mistwraiths are said to appear in the form of white fog or grey mist that will rapidly
assume the shape of other beings.
