Kryaldor is the name now long associated with a set of five enchanted
garnets originally discovered in the possession of a dying adventurer.
The adventurer, a young woman found near the ancient ruins of a tower
in a bog near Mirgspil, severely burned and with her lower right arm
missing, muttered 'Kryaldor' just before succumbing to death.
It is believed that the stones, which some claim bear malevolent
enchantments, will bestow their magic only upon a being they deem
worthy.
An obscure part of the legend surrounding the Stones of Kryaldor says
that anyone who willingly bequeaths the garnets to another, will have
great tragedy befall them.
