Jiriwyd's Plunge

Jiriwyd's Plunge is the name given to a network of massive caves on the eastern side of Iron Crown Isle. It is said that the ancient hero, Jiriwyd, a legendary archer and swordsman, 'plunged' to his death by leaping into the gaping crevice that leads down into the caves.

Some accounts report that Jiriwyd was forced to take his fateful plunge by a band of goblins who threatened to kill his beloved, a sorceress named Ulwithria. Other accounts, however, say that he dove into the crevice of his own accord, distraught over Ulwithria's refusal to accept his hand in marriage.
