These magical symbols, created by powerful mages or magical items, are used
to protect objects or locations from unwanted intrusion.
The glyphs appear as translucent, glowing images that hover inches above the
surface upon which they have been placed.
In most cases, guardian glyphs can only be removed by the mage by whom it was
created.
These glyphs can remain in place for years following their creation.
Attempting to pass a guardian glyph or meddle with an object under a glyph's
protection can have deadly results.
