The tangled expanse of forest, north of
Goblin Hollow , known as the
Griffon Crags, was named long ago for the ancient line of
griffons that once made their
lairs in and around its many crags, tors, and ridges.
Several prominent sorcerers also constructed abodes in
the Griffon Crags. Two of the better known personages to
have done so were Varykn and
Daidrur.
