'Frostmark' is the name given to a raised marking of enchanted ice that
will typically be found adorning a weapon or piece of armour.
These marks are normally in the shape of some creature, though frostmarks
in the likeness of non-living objects have also been reported.
It's believed that frostmarks are used as means of bestowing enchantments upon
an item when other means of enchanting said item are either not possible or
too difficult.
Only an extremely powerful elementalist well-versed in the realm of arcana could
create and attach a frostmark.
