A rare and powerful artifact, a living dragon heart is among the most
valuable treasure an adventurer could ever hope to possess.
Procured from the chest of a slain dragon (usually an elder
dusk dragon ), the hearts are infused with
powerful magic that will sustain them until they have served their
purpose.
A dragon heart preserved in this manner will continue to beat. The spirit
of the dragon to which it belonged will remain within the living heart.
A few mighty sorcerers (and a handful of fortunate adventurers) have discovered
