The 'battlegrounds' refers to a series of challenges designed and run
by the famous, but reclusive master adventurer, Zumryn ,
in the courtyard of his red stone keep on Iron Crown Isle.
The battlegrounds feature a ladder system for each of its challenges that
rank the accomplishments of adventurers who have taken part.
Although closed for many years, the battlegrounds have recently reopened.
Zumryn, a master in the magical art of gating, has provided a portal from the
town of Westmere (on the western shores of Barrow Loch) to the remote location
of his battlegrounds -- on Iron Crown Isle.
