These living stumps have a large set of powerful jaws, sharp fangs, and a voracious appetite (not a good combination).

It's long been believed that they are evil woodland spirits that take up residence in stumps (and sometimes other sorts of wooden objects).

Whatever their origin, these terrifying beasts love nothing more than devouring any living creature in their path.
