Rot snails are common creatures that feed upon the remains of living (or should I say formerly living) things. They can be found virtually anywhere, but they thrive in dark, damp places.

Tales abound about giant rot snails (some as large as a bear) roaming the wilds and attempting to devour any living thing they encounter.
