Merzekk

Merzekk is a legendary knight and warrior, whose magical sword is said to have had the ability to slay demons. Merzekk was the first leader of a brotherhood of Tysian knights known as The Order of The Protector.

The legend of Merzekk tells of three magical gems that gave his sword unearthly power. Before he died, Merzekk is said to have removed the gems from his sword to ensure that its power could never be used for evil. Although he scattered the gems across the realms, he supposedly left clues to their secret locations behind.

The most famous of the supposed clues is the well known Rhyme of Merzekk:

"Less three eyes to sparkle bright,
A rusted blade to be;
Seek the three beyond all sight,
Set sleeping spirit free;
Path of honour, test of faith,
A trial looms for thee;
Go forth a hero, thrice reborn,
Set sleeping spirit free."
