Lake Ironrain

It is from the fathomless depths of this immense, frigid lake that the River Trynd , Tysa's most important waterway, flows.

Despite the deadly chill that pervades the lake's deep, dark waters, many species of fish thrive here, and the towns and villages along its shores have long enjoyed prosperity brought by the seemingly endless bounty.

Many legends tell of a large island that once rose out of the icy waters of the lake. All accounts say, however, that during a great calamity, more than an age ago, the island, upon which stood the grand fortress of a powerful sorcerer, sunk into Ironrain's frigid depths.
