Gleemroth of the Isles

The legends that tell of the adventures and exploits of the warrior mage Gleemroth are both colourful and numerous. Known to many as 'Gleemroth of the Isles' or 'Gleemroth of the Crowns', the adventuring hero spent much of his time exploring the Loch Crowns of Barrow Loch.

Gleemroth, having married the daughter of one of Tysa's Thanes , set up residence in a ruined keep on the southern shores of Silver Crown Isle. He spent a large portion of his vast wealth restoring the fortress to its original grandeur.

During one of his adventures, Gleemroth is said to have acquired an Onyxian artifact -- a bone and iron pendant that became known as Gleemroth's Bane.

The pendant, which granted the hero almost supernatural combat ability, is believed to have exerted over him a dark, insidious influence.

As Gleemroth fell deeper into the control of his prized pendant, his family, his household, and his closest friends and allies are said to have deserted him. Alone, he spent his days holed up in his grand keep.

Gleemroth reportedly leapt to his death from the keep's battlements.
