Bellsong Slough

Few places across the North Broadlands are more steeped in superstition and synonymous with peril than the vast swamp known as Bellsong Slough.

Located below the southern reaches of Syrbryn Forest , the slough has long been a place avoided by even the most seasoned adventurers.

The swamp derives its name from the ghostly sound of ancient bell that can, from time to time, be heard tolling somewhere in the tangled depths of the great bog.

Several legends tell of an ancient city that long ago sank into the deadly morass. These same legends speak of the restless dead, former inhabitants fo the sunken city, who yet prowl the swamp.

Despite the many stories associated withe Bellsong Slough, the swamp is perhaps most famous as the location of the Caves of Maramog .
